FIRM HISTORY
Since its inception, the company has grown to include over 200 interpreters providing interpreter and translation services in over 80 languages and dialects.
In 1978 Abe Gomez began the company. He is federally certified and has personally provided Spanish interpreter and translation services for law firms, courts and various businesses throughout Chicago and Northwest Indiana. His duties included courtroom interpretations, depositions, medical and business conferences, teleconferences, insurance investigations and conducting various training seminars for interpreters.
Abe was joined by his niece, Danette Garza, in 2006. Danette graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law and received her Juris Doctorate degree. Danette is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in the State of Indiana and Illinois. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business and her Master of Business Administration degree with honors from Indiana University. Danette acts as the business manager of the company.
The staff at Continental Languages carries on Abe’s tradition of quality service.
We have recently completed the process of re-branding our company from Abe Gomez Interpreting to Continental Languages. Our new name reflects our expansion from initially offering Spanish interpretation and translation to providing over 80 languages and dialects.
